My Previous Thursday.

7:30 am - 1 pm during school time:

"Yes, I solved my homework and revised the previous lessons here's my papers"

"I believe that the أ (the Arabic A) should be written this way instead of that way"

"Boyle's Law states that pressure and volume depend on each other."

"WW1 ended because the USA joined the Allies and they won.  Then in 1919 France blamed Germany on their great lose during the war, and the Allies signed a treaty that I don't remember its name, sorry."

"What does De la mean?  Should I choose oui?"

"Edger Allen Poe was a great writer indeed, and that was very clear through The Fall of the House of Usher."

"Right triangles are sometimes easy in proving their algebraic statements."

"Allah can change our hearts from bad to good."

"I've got some work to do now, see you on Sunday!"

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm during the Google event preparations meeting:

"The place is bigger than I thought. We can put twp volunteers here, two in there, and then we'll divide the others."

"The wifi signals are really strong, looks like the sponsor did a good job."

"Let's see the second hall.

Now this one's great!  It's too big, just like we want. 200 men will be great here, while 120 women will fit perfectly in the first hall.  We can add some tables with more seats to fit for more, but so far so good."

"Excuse me now, I must leave.  See you on Saturday!".

2:00 p. m. - 7:30 p.m. during Ithra Knowledge interviews:

"Talk about yourself.  What are your interests?  Or in other words, talk about your hobbies."

"Is this the first time that you volunteer?"

"Why do you want to volunteer?"

"What are some skill that you have to offer to the community, and what will the community offer to you through this experience?"

"Where do you see yourself one year from now?"

"Are you committed to volunteer with us for 28 days through seven hours daily?"

"Thank you, go scan your fingerprint an then take a picture.  Good luck.".

7:30 pm - 01:30 am.

"There were lots of interviewees, and most of them were pretty excellent.  I even interviewed a writer who talked in a very decent way. God, I'd be more than delighted to work with her!"

"I'm literally famished, because I didn't eat anything all day long!  I'll have shrimps with French fries, a green salad on the said, and fresh apple juice.".

"I'm not tired, I'll stay awake until Blood Diamond starts.  You can accompany my awesome loneliness if you want."

"Mama, you have to stay longer to know more about movies, you'll love this one!"

"Africans have been suffering all their lives, and Blood Diamond is capturing the suffrage, because the scenes are really sad, and seem very real."

"Leonardo DiCaprio deserves five Oscars on this movie!  And the director is a genius!  I loved it!"

"Please ask the housemaid to iron my dress for tomorrow.  Goodnight."

See, my dear reader, busy days are always beautiful, because you end up accomplishing something at the end of them, and in ten years from now, you will for sure remember them due to the amount of pain in your legs and back.  But the memories that they carry with them are priceless!  My parents say that I'm killing myself, and my sisters say that I always miss out some of the family gatherings, and sometimes, weddings. But I love these days, because they're probably the reason why I'm writing this right now.

I've got one word to end this: live.

Two Days With Dad

*This blog post was written only two days before my dear father's accident -may he rests in peace-. Tears may express both happiness and sadness. A shaking voice can describe either fear or sorrow. A shivering body can describe all of the mentioned above. But what if, only if at one point in life, all of these emotions combine together to crash the human's body? What if our emotions can break our hearts in a second, then build them back again in the next? Goodbyes are meant to happen to everyone. As I grow up, I realize how hard they can be depending on whom I'm saying goodbye to....

"Glocal" at the United Nations Youth Assembly

Those who dream, will definitely achieve.  The efforts we put into chasing our goals will be recognized.  Our faith in God, and those long nights praying with so much hope in our hearts.  The taste of accomplishment, that happiness, the laughter, oh and those tears of pure joy.  Standing up for the right, and fighting for the good.  We were all born great, but at the end of the day, it is up to us to realize that greatness and use it proactively.  Nobody’s better than the other, we are made different so we can come together and join those differences together for our own good.  If we’re the same, then competing will never get us anywhere, because “team work makes the dream work” according to a great wise friend of mine.  Working hand by hand to reach the finish line will get us further and further in life.  This past week, I had the honor to be the Saudi Delegate to the United Nations Youth Assembly, and this is the story of how this week t...
