Change

Ahmed Al-Shugairi , this man has learned me a lot!  A ton of people had judges him for saying the truth, but don’t you get it?  This man is trying to make a point, a goodpoint in this world.  He is trying to change us, why would any one of us blame him? He is showing us the Islam in an amazing way.
Us, the new generation, there's a lot of distractions that are taking us away from Fasting and Praying etc.  But, he's encouraging us to do a lot of wonderful things, things that can help us and help our community.  We have a great ideas, but no one is listening to us.  Mr. Al-Shugairi is showing us how to be ourselves, but without changing our thoughts.  He has a program that is called ''Khawater'',but in English it's Called ''Thoughts''.
Let's say that he's writing his ''Thoughts'' on a newspaper, no one will respond to him.  This generation is very hard.  If you want to make a huge difference, you'll have to know how those young people are thinking.  So, he started with the internet.  Then, the television.  Now, he has a show in one of the most powerful channels in the Middle East. He's inspiring everyone, he changed me in a lot of ways actually, he changed millions of people too.
Half of the people who watched his show ''Khawater'', said that we can't change what our parents have raised us on.  Well, let me tell you something, we've changed a lot!  Just go and search about the Prophet's life, and believe me when I say that we've changed.  I'm one of those millions who would standwith Mr. Ahmed, and be proud of the change that he's making.
Mr. Ahmed started to get people's attention in his 5th season of Khawater, that's when he showed us how the Japanese live.  He received a TONS of judgments.  But he was believing in something that was supporting him, he was believing in Allah.  Allah gave him the power to be much more stronger.  So He stood on his feet, and he made his 6th season of Khawater, in this season he showed us how the people of the Golden Ages were living.
Abn Alhaithm, Abas AbnFurnas, Alkhwarzmy etc.  All of those amazing people are a part of our Islamic history, they've invented a lot of great things, they were hoping that we can have a part in this history and finish what they have started.  But……way to go us, we kind of finished them but not by building them.  We're a part of this history because we have some great people like Mr. Ahmed, who taught us how to believe in their inventions, and be proud for being a Muslims.
Now, I'll just write about the present. He's in his 7th season, in this season he said by his own mouth, not mine ''This season isn’t a season for judging, and it is not a season for comparisons.  We have a long way to make things better, we need solutions!  2011 the people want!'' (you can put somemore exclamation marks in there if you want). I will not say a lot of things about this season.  We're still in episode 22.  One of his last words in the last episode were ''I'm not seeing people doing what I've been working on.  But I do believe and hope that a 6 year old kid is watching me now, and maybe after 20 or 30 years, this kid will be a man, and he will do some great things.  So he will say, I learned this from Khawater.''
All I'm asking for is some change, this man is amazing.  Let's make a difference, let's make somethings for our benefits.  Let's think of the future, stop thinking about the present! Because I really don’t see it working. Ahmed Al-Shugairi, if you need any one to support you, then make sure that there's me, and an army of a million Young Arabic Muslim.

Ramadan of 2011.

Hoping before McDowell's School Board

Not every exchange experience is the same, simply because every student is different, and every place is different too. Comparing an experience to another is a huge mistake, yet looking at each one individually triggers curiosity to those who are not part of it to know more.  Not every day is rainbows and sunshine, but surly not every other day is clouds and rain. One bad day shall never ruin a year long experience, and one good day will create memories that will spring in the happiness of many other days to come.     My day today was one of a kind. A day that shall keep me motivated for a good period of time. It's a day that I can smile at and tell myself that I actually invested my time in the project of my successful ways of living. I'll never be the wise person who advises people with powerful talks.  I'll never be the big boss who's in charge. Instead, or at least for now, I am going to live for the present and do my best in influencing a change in this community.

Twelve Countries Uniting with Love for One Nation's Host Families

Sending small messages to more than five continents and ten countries could be extremely hard.  But finding the people who would respond to my messages with open hearts and a loud "YAS!" to something that I had to say was a piece of cake.  Having those strong connections made my last few nights light with happiness, because I was reminded through my friends' words, reactions, and pictures that the future really does belong to those of us who care about making it a better place to live for all.  We all shared one similar past during our time as exchange students in the United States in the school year of 2014-2015.  We said "Yes" to a new life that was full of new adventures and wild experiences.  We agreed to cross the Atlantic and the Pacific, because we strongly believed in our power, future, and in our own selves.  Age was not an obstacle, for we drew an amazing picture of America.  Yet the most important parts of this whole year were and forever will
